I have all my pre op tests done and do not know what is next. What can I expect from this point on? I am so ready for this and cannot wait for my surgery date.

Please let me know what your experience was/is?

It probably depends on what your insurance and surgeon require. Did your surgeons office give you a list of requirements to be done before setting a date? All of them seem to have different requirements, so yours may not be the same as mine, but I had to do several nutritionist visits and educational classes, three visits with my surgeon, psych eval, EGD, EKG, and blood work for the surgeons program. My insurance required 6 months of supervised diet plan.

That makes sense. Every insurance is different. I think I will call my surgeon and see if there is anything else to do for me. Thankfully my insurance does not require a months long diet.

And I hope you get the answers you want, get a date to firm up your plans. If you find you will need to go on a liver-shrink ing,diet,you will have a,lot sharing that dietary Purgatory, and it seems every doctor seems to feel he or she had a personal revelation from God as to the,proper length it should be, 1 week,, 2 week, 3 week, 4 week, like me, just the day,before and a FEW lucky dogs who don't have to do any. So when you do HAVE a date, please share with us. We can celebrate? with you, and if necessary we can crank the old? Prayer Machine up if necessary. You're always among friends here!?
