I am concerned about this desperate post less than a month out from surgery. If your family and surgeon are aware of your past they need to direct you into ongoing therapy. This surgery is not magic, it is one piece of a complex puzzle, it will not fix your head. We all have varying degrees of issues with food, self-esteem, abuse, emotional issues and surgery won't fix those. It is hard work, but work we must do and keep doing. Success depends on all those elements working together. You CAN do this, reach out to your surgeon's office and ask for therapy and attend a support group. Good luck.
