Hi, I am new to this forum.. and new to the lap band. I've been banded since Nov. 1, 2007 so far so good, I had it on Thursday, and returned to work on Monday. I am still a bit sore, but I'm off the pain meds.. and on to lyquid tylenol. If someone could answer this for me.. does the gas EVER go away??? It is a bit bothersome.. I have tried Gas-X and other things like it to help. No such luck! If anyone has any advice, I would appreciate it greatly. I look forward to meeting new people on my journey, that are going through the same thing.

Glad to hear your doing well. As far as the gas goes...walk, walk, and walk some more. Gas-X didn't work for me either. Walk as much as you can and it should help tremendously. Good luck on your lap-band journey!

I went to my first check up.. to get the staples removed on Thursday. I am already 22 pounds lighter.. I was shocked I didn't expect that much, it does make me happy! I am feeling MUCH better, and the gas isn't quite as bad as before.. I just hope it totally goes away.
