Hello all,
Finally after all the months of preparation, the big day is almost here!! My surgery is scheduled for July 23rd. I am nervous, excited, and scared all wrapped up in one! More importantly, READY!!! I started my Pre Op diet today and it seems to be going ok so far. Let's see where I am at in a few days! Lol! I have a question though that my PCP has yet to respond to and I may have to call my Surgeon's office for help. I am a Diabetic and I take insulin. Since pretty much the jello and popsicles are sf and the 1 meal is no carbs, I am not getting any sugar. I have been told absolutely NO SUGAR OF ANY KIND! My sugar is very low and I took a few glucose tablets. Has anyone experienced this type of problem? I took my long acting insulin and am wondering if I need to reduce the dosage?
