Constipation

I’m my prep op diet. I have 4 days left until surgery and just started having bad constipation. Any advice would be helpful.

Chewable fiber helps. Keep your water intake very high. If it's still bad or you are concerned, check with your PCP, Surgeon or Surgical Team and ask them what you can do, but typically Miralax is an approved item you can take to help.

I would check with your surgeon. I was given a sheet with all the acceptable medications I could take (following surgery) for various things. Benefiber, Colace, Milk of Magnesia, and MiraLAX were on the approved list for constipation. Make sure you're getting plenty of water. Walking is also supposed to help with digestive function.
