Well - I did it! I was banded yesterday - all went very well and I was home by 2:30 p.m. Today I'm feeling quite a bit of discomfort at the port site if I move in any direction - but other than that - not so bad! Of course, broth, jello and water are getting a bit tiresome - can't wait till tomorrow when I can have cream soup and protein shakes - yum!! :-)

Pre-Op and final meeting with my surgeon went very well today. The surgery is paid for. All my test are done. Now, I am just waiting til surgery (Dec. 19th) and trying not to freak out!!!

I am schedule for lap band on Dec 19th, 2007. I am very anxious and nervous. I just hope I am one of the lucky ones that does well with it and loses!!!

It is done and im feeling great!Cant wait to go home and start my new life!

I just wanted everyone to know that I had surgery on Tuesday - Dec. 11 and I am doing wonderfully. For those of you who haven't had surgery yet, I say go for it. I read about so many things that could happen but so far I have only had soreness in my side. No other adverse effects.

Hi Fellow December Bandsters!

I am officially in band land. Got my band yesterday & feeling GREAT! They also fixed my hiatal hernia.. I am so happy! I am already loving my band and having minimal pain & minimal gas!! I am taking my gas x strips though...

I hope any of you yet to be banded can take comfort in the fact it was soooo much easier than I thought it would be...

YEAH!! I have a band!! YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!

Our December club is growing by leaps and bounds . . . and it's good to know our group and be able to chatter back and forth about everything! I am on day 3 of the liquid pre op. I am sitting here at work (customer service) trying not to call my customers stupid, they are, because I am so freakin hungry. I am off to grab some broth....oooh exciting! Grrrr

Thunder, my sleepiness has resolved since I quit pain med. I am also concerned about not eating enough. I am not hungry. I have yet to get all my protein in and calories are around 800 to 1000? I hope this doesn't stall weight loss. I have lost 6lbs since surgery! How are you doing? gg

Lovenox is an injection to thin blood to prevent blood clot, my doc sends everyone home on it. I don't have any history of DVT and just wondered if anyone else was sent home on Lovenox. gg

My doctor makes us have 6 shots after we come home. We MUST have the prescription filled before leaving the hospital or they won't allow us to leave. I am not looking forward to the injections.
