She means “that’ll be the protein in your smoothie”, @Mattymatt!

we are proud of you no matter what but if you achieve your Extra Class that would be gravy on the biscuit(old country saying) city equivalent whipped cream and cherry on top of your hot fudge sundae.

When life gives you a bag of lemons, grab your Splenda and make some Lemonade. Since I'm down for the count with this pesky ulcer, there's no time like the present to dust off an old hobby of mine, Amateur Radio. I last worked with it almost 7 years ago.
I am an FCC licensed General Class HAM radio operator. For anyone that cares, my call sign is KF7SVX. It's time for me to upgrade my license to Extra Class! I spent the past few days on marathon study sessions, despite feeling ill. This is something I've wanted to do for some time as the Extra is the unrestricted license which lets you use all amateur bands. It's very hard and the last time I studied for an exam was 7 years ago. It don't get easier when you get older, ha!
Now I'm ready to test on May 24th. It felt so good to have something to provide some discipline. Of course the studying must continue. If it weren't for bariatric surgery, I might never have revisited the hobby.
