Today I made bone broth with 3 marrow bones, 1/2 an onion, some carrots, celery, parsley, bay leaves & garlic in my crock pot.
Saved the carrots & pureed them with some of the broth for when I can have them the week after my surgery.
Placed the broth 4-8oz into breast milk collection bags (they are sturdier then regular zip-lock bags) & put everything into the freezer. I also froze some in an ice cube tray to use later when I make more puréed food.
I bough bone broth before when I had to do a liquid diet before a colonoscopy last year. It was so gross! I knew I could make it better & I did!
Toodles,
Rue
