Pre-admission testing

I found out today that I will be having surgery in two days. TWO. My scheduler said they will be doing my pre-admission testing before they do my surgery. Can anybody tell me what this will consist of? Are they testing for something in particular?

    My pre admission testing consisted of meeting anesthesiologist and getting bloodwork done. Not sure if it will be the same for you or not but, thinking so.

    It’s probably just getting blood work done. Some hospitals will give you a special soap to wash your body with the day before.
