Water pills

Went to see cardiologist today. She said she won't be signing off for my surgery until after she has done an ultrasound on my heart. She put me on a BP pill for my BP and for swelling. This all has me scared. I need to take the medicine to get my BP under control but scared of all the scary side effects that are possible. I was put on triamterene-hctz. Has anyone been on this? Pros/cons? Safe??

I understand how scary it can be to start taking a new medication, especially when it comes to potential side effects. I haven't personally taken triamterene-hctz, but I know it's a common medication prescribed for high blood pressure and swelling. It's always best to follow your doctor's advice and take the medication as prescribed. As for cutting costs on medication, I recently discovered an amoxicillin coupon 2023 that has helped me save some money. It's always a relief to find ways to save on healthcare expenses. Anyway, hope everything goes well with you!
