Post Op pain

Hello all, I am 8 days post op vsg surgery. I'm still in quite a bit of pain when I stand up and walk around. It feels like my insides are ripping/burning near my larger incision site. Everything else is fine, my other incisions are healing well, and so is this one. But it hurts to stand and walk around, the only relief I get is if I push up on the bottom of my stomach there. Has anyone else had this problem?

It's where they pulled your stomach out through and likely a little muscle and nerve soreness, but if it doesn't improve past another week then get it checked. Maybe wear a support garment and see if that helps.

Yes!!!! It last about 3 weeks. Then it starts to slowly stop hurting. I was in the same shoes. I freaked out and called my dr. The nurses said it was normal. There is one big stitch they do on your right side. It will pass. I promise!!!!

No belly band. I got the sleeve
