Hello, I'm new to all of this. I went and had my first consult and meeting with the surgeon Jan. 28th, 2018. She asked me to lose 10% of my body weight. My weight at my doctors appt was 221.8. and my next appt with my surgeon and PCP(for medical clearance) is Feb 2nd. After following my doctors instructions and sticking to a low carb, high protein diet, today I stepped on the scale and weigh 203.5. If I lose more than 10 percent, will they cancel my surgery?

Probably not. They want to see that you can stick to the diet, follow instructions and are serious about making this change. Because you are going to be living high protein, low carb from surgery forward.
