Hot flashes after surgery?

I’m 4 days post-op (gastric bypass) and started having hot flashes today. They only last a minute or less but my whole body goes hot and it feels like my face is on fire. I’m 32 years old!

Anyone else having this side effect?

Interesting. I'm actually having the complete opposite - since my surgery 3 weeks ago, I am FREEZING COLD all the time. I read online that it's a common side effect of surgery, as you drop the fat that has been insulating you for years but, combined with the fact that it's mid-January, it's killing me. Have you found any explanation for your hot flashes?
