Hi I’m new to the forum, my surgery is on January 11th, I’m on my 3rd day of the pre op diet, it’s actually not that hard for me I’m very pleased with that. But I’m feeling very nervous I know it’s just because it’s coming up fast, was anyone else a bundle of nerves at this point I guess I’m just needing some encouraging words.

I think most of us felt that way right before surgery...

Hello,

I just my Sleeve done 2 days ago and the surgery was easy, your put under and it’s done. I did have very painful lungs (from the gas) after the surgery but my stomach / abdomen didn’t hurt AT ALL.

48 hours later, my chest feels very close to normal and my abdomen is a bit sore. The pain meds really help and walking, as everyone says, is essential.

I just finished my first Protein Shake which got easier over the day and Water was painful for 24 hours but is now going down easily.

You will be fine. Don’t project to far into the future. Take it an hour at a time and it will all work out just fine.

I’m excited now for a nice slow journey.

Good luck.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
