Hoping you all can answer this question: I am on several meds for chronic conditions like lupus and hypothyroidism. Will I be able to swallow pills post-op?

I only had problems swallowing one of my pills - and after a couple of weeks, I could swallow that one as well.

Just get a pill crusher, and sprinkle the powder on a spoon full of sugar free Cool Whip. Down the hatch! Easy peasy.

PS...you shouldn't do this with extended release kinda pills...ask the doc about those:)

I'm on medication for seizures and bipolar. My Doc's didn't want me to miss any of my medication. I took them the morning off my surgery with a tiny sip or water and then the following morning the medication was cut in half for me. No problems taking them.
