Anyone here had open surgery (Not laparoscopic)?

Hi

sorry to ask again - no replies last time.

Is there anyone here who has had the RNY by open surgery, rather than the more common laparoscopic surgery?

Keen to talk through the particulars...

I have a broken band and port and surgical mesh to come out, which has created a bit of damage. Open surgery needed for hand stitching and ensuring the damaged bits won’t cause leaks.

“It is worth it” I keep telling myself!

I'm sorry to hear that. That sounds tough
