Hi

I am being banded next Weds, Oct 31. Any advice as to what to buy at the store in advance to have on hand after the surgery? Or any other advice, checklists, etc?

I am on the "fast-track"....just met the Dr last week and will have surgery next week. Sort of a little overwhelmed!!!

Anything you did or wish you did prior to surgery that helped your recovery go smoothly?

magazines heating pad, chap stick, sugar free tic tacs, portien water, gas x stips and anything that you will like to have by you while you are laying on the couch .. good luck to you

I'm trying to figure out the protein water thing. I've heard others mention it. What brand, exactly, is it? I couldn't find anything. I thought maybe Propel, but it didn't have any protein listed in it.

It's Kellogg's and comes in flavors (three I think). Costs about $6 a six-pack here in Pennsylvania. Haven't tried them yet--still more partial to a protein shake / drink.

The checklist on FAQ was wonderful! My saving grace has been my blender though! If you don't have one, buy one!!!

I bought a Magic Bullet as soon as I was approved! (Comes with smaller cups and whips/purees in a heartbeat!)

You can get your best buy on Ebay...

I bought two hand held blenders by Oster. One for work and one for home. They're not too spendy, and a lifesaver.
