I had vsg surgery on 11/20/17. After surgery I was very sick and had to stay in the hospital for a week. I am doing way better now and I’m finally able to eat and drink but I’ve noticed my speech is different. I find myself slurring my words a lot. Especially words with the letter S in them. My doctor says it’s a side effect of anesthesia but it’s been 2 weeks! It’s so aggravating.

Haven’t noticed it in myself, always stumble over words lol! But I have heard of this with anesthesia. Depending on your age and prior anesthesia’s, it could take a while, I believe.

I, too, was in longer and quite ill. Much better too! Cheers!
