Hair loss

Does anyone know how much hair loss is too much? I knew that I would probably lose some hair and I have been losing hair strands here and there since the surgery but today a big clump of hair came off when I was shampooing my hair. Should I be worried?

I am 3.5 mo out and shedding like a golden retriever. I take chewable biotin daily. I feel my hair is getting thin despite all my vitamins and minerals. Maybe it’s just a thing 3 months out from losing the weight. Hope it’s temporary.

I had my surgery in June, I’ve noticed my small clumps of my hair coming out, my fiancé and I looked and we haven’t found any bald spots and I have fair hair.

I think it really varies from person to person. After my sleeve, at month 8, I hadn't lost but a small amount. But in June, I had major surgery and now, 6 months later, my hair is falling out like crazy.

I had the major hair loss like this 2 years ago as well, after two major surgeries. I was so worried about it. I had a nurse that came to my house every other day and she told me that the large amount of hair loss is expected for some people and that after any major surgery almost all people will have some hair loss.

I don't think you need to be worried as to whether or not it's normal.

My nurse says the 100 day mark is when it will probably start. She didn't say how long it would last, but I assume, one hair 'cycle'. Can't really prevent it, but biotin and protein might help.

Read that 70 g of protein a day and 5000mcg biotin a day.
