Weight loss already.

I know they say not to weigh the first week out because you will be upset with the weight gain from the iv,s I woke up and weighed in this morning at 342.4 and I was 344.9 when I went in on Tuesday for surgery. I pray That I keep loosing like this. Having a hard time with the protein shakes right now it soup. So peppermint tea and G2 again till tomorrow.

I never gained weight after the surgery either. I also, weighed starting when I got home, for better or worse. It just kept going down slowly.

I'm one of the lucky ones too. I never saw any weight gain after surgery. It's just stead losses each day. Whether it's a few ounces to a pound or more. I'm 8 days post op and down 7.5 pounds from the morning of surgery. I'm bad because I weigh like 3 times a day. I'm trying to tell myself to stop and only weigh in once every week or even bi-weekly.

I too started at 342 and now I'm at 344. I'm still a bit swollen and have a lot of water gain, so I'm just going to wait it out. I'll be okay and you will too.

I am 10 days post op and I've lost 14pounds.. I weighed in at 226 and I am 212 today.. I'm taking in 60 to 70 grams off protein.. I feel I'm loosing weight to fast...I guess I shouldn't complain I didn't gain weight after surgery..

I’m getting my liquids in but not much protein yet. I’m suppose to be getting 60-65 a day already.

I purchased premier protein at costco.. each shake is 30grams of protein...so 2 shakes helped me meet my protein intake...

When did you guys start your protein post op? Im 3 days post op and noticed I have gained 2 pounds from when i went into surgery. So that's annoying. Been drinking water and Powerade zero.

I started the third day..I will say it will take you the whole day to finish your protein intake..i barely got in my 60 but those shakes helped because they are only 11 oz and 30grams of protein each..

I started my protein drinks when I got home from the hospital. You're right, it will take you the whole day to get them down (I have to drink 3) but it can be done. I've been doing well keeping things down including jello and popcicles. One day at a time. :784_peace:
