  • Recovery room after surgery was rough. I threw up a couple times which caused me to pee the bed. How mortifying. I was groggy and could not wake up. Slept for 12 hours. Once I woke up, I felt great.

Thanks everyone so helpful? I also want to ask a question about the foods that you guys have eaten after your surgery. I had my surgery Nov6 so my nurse stated I can eat soft foods what do you guys suggest?

I'm still on full liquids until the 23rd. So I'm still eating jello, soup, popsicles, protein drinks, yogurt, and of course water.

Honey I am still sore have a lot of nausea and scared as heck to eat the soft food my nurse wants me to eat other than that I will do good if these people quit asking me to taste food @BabyFat23

Edited by TINK09

@BabyFat23 I am afraid I will end up constipated from eating mash potatoes and oatmeal. What are you eating?

So you on the nausea ? with @CamillaCallie hope that get better. When do you move to soft foods?

@LylaLovesCoffee so you are not far from me I wonder why my doctor put me on soft foods oh well I guess different doctor different rules...honey I lost 60 pounds before my surgery and was at a complete standstill had to do something.

@TINK09I am still on full liquids. For me full liquids seems much easier because you really just sip and go. Moving to the other stages I have to plan meals and I don’t want to think about that.

I hear ya @TINK09 I dropped 80 lbs before surgery. Sooo much more to go. I knew doing this would keep me on the loser's bench instead of the usual gain it all back when I stop losing weight.

You're right different doctors different rules. If you're not comfortable, tell them.

@BabyFat23 I am on soft food now I think its too early but my nurse called and said to start @LylaLovesCoffee had her surgery on the 8th and she is still on clear

@TINK09 I'm on full liquids. I can have the protein drinks and yogurt and anything from the clears, which I really enjoy. And I also can have coffee... but only 12 oz a day.
