I have mild acid reflux every once and a while. Am I allowed to take tums?

I'm almost one month post op.

I too have stomach pain but it comes in waves, like incredible hunger pains. I am only 4 days postop. My incisions are fine. I jist don'tunderstand what pain I'm feeling and nervous to take anything. I'm also worried I drank too large of portions yesterday. Ugh!

You guys should already be on acid reducers (usually PPI's or H2 blockers). If you're not on acid reducers, talk to your docs.

Cool.. those sensations you are having are likely "spasms". Umm.. I didn't have them, so not sure what other people do for them. I want to say the doc can prescribe some medicine for it. Again.. talk to your doc.

My doctor said since I get reflux rarely and I have a terrible time taking the pill prescribed I no longer have to take the acid reducers. This was discussed a few weeks ago.

I had a mild bout of acid reflux last night when trying to go to bed which is why I posted this question. Just want to know if Tums are safe to take every once in a while.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
