Pulling pain; stitches or scar tissue?

Hi everyone. I'm 17 days out from RNY and I'm feeling some pretty intense pain since yesterday after I bent over and felt it for the first time. Its s sharp, stabbing pain, so bad that I can't stand upright. It's not bad when I'm sitting, and I can ease the pain by holding my belly when I walk. I've been reading a lot about it, and sounds like it's a pain caused by a stitch that's pulling or some scar tissue that a may have torn a little. Doc said it's normal and will go away eventually. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this before and how long did it last?? Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same issue currently. I'm almost 2 weeks out from the rny and recovery has been great up until yesturday. Its really bad to move from standing to sitting and bending, I hope it gets better for both of us. I will say heat has helped a little. Maybe someone will have some good input.

I'm experiencing this too. I'm almost 4 weeks out. Originally it was on my left side. Now it's on the right. Tylenol & heat help a bit.

Me too exactly same symptoms but I also gets a terrible ache in my side under my rib cage. I'm 4 weeks post. Pain killers are the only thing test helps. Seeing consultant next week hopefully will be some answers/help.
