Hi everyone. I'm 17 days out from RNY and I'm feeling some pretty intense pain since yesterday after I bent over and felt it for the first time. Its s sharp, stabbing pain, so bad that I can't stand upright. It's not bad when I'm sitting, and I can ease the pain by holding my belly when I walk. I've been reading a lot about it, and sounds like it's a pain caused by a stitch that's pulling or some scar tissue that a may have torn a little. Doc said it's normal and will go away eventually. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this before and how long did it last?? Thanks in advance.
I am 9 days post-op and was feeling great until last night, and had a couple "normal" BMs. Last night I took a turn and also have diarrhea now and feel pretty dehydrated and don't want to drink much. I haven't had anything thicker than thin yogurt, so people have been saying "liquid in - liquid out", so I'm assuming we're still adjusting. Try some Gass X for bloating! It helps me
I'm wondering how long people waited to have sex again post-surgery? (My husband is the one wondering more than me...) I know everyone is different, but I'm just curious. Sorry if it's a strange question, but sex is a part of life! [emoji13]
I am the exact same as you! I'm 7 days out and drank about 7oz of broth last night for dinner. I worked my way up to this, same as you as well. I think when we move to thicker liquids and purée, we will notice a difference again on how much we can tolerate. I think we're right where we should be
I'm not sure if it's normal or not, but I had one on day 3 and it was diarrhea also, and really dark, like almost black! I have a feeling it's normal as long as you're not in pain and it's not constant. If you were dehydrated, you'd have a headache, dizziness, lethargy...so, I bet our docs will tell us it's notmal
I used nothing that I brought apart from my hairbrush and extension cord for my phone charger. Everything else I just never cared about using or they provided for me, so I just used theirs. I also didn't shower there. Back home in 2 days!
