Food recommendations for post-op beginning weeks

All

I know before my surgery, I was searching for any information on suggested products for post op dieting. So I thought maybe this would be a good topic to start.

I can tell you the Choice Bariatric Soups are disgusting and have a terrible smell...they also dont mix well and are very clumpy. I just tried the Protidiet Chicken Flavor soup and its really good (15g protein/3g carbs). Its expensive ($13 for 7 packets) but it was a life saver for me during the liquid phase. I just ordered the Protidiet tomato basil so I'll let you know how that tastes. It helps to get more protein in when your sick and tired of the sweet shakes.

Also, I dont know about you, but I have an extremely difficult time choking down the premiere clear protein fruit punch. But I was able to drink Wonderslim Liquid Protein Concentrate in Orange flaver. It isnt as sweet and doesnt have that disgusting after taste that the premier fruit punch has.

Let me know if you have any suggestions!!!!

If youre like me it wont matter because whatever you decide on, you wont be able or want to take in much.

for me it was

water
skim mil with extra protein
broth
popsicles
yogurt

i couldnt take in much food stuffs so i just tried to drink a lot of water and mix flavorless powder in when i could.

Broth and unflavored protein powder is the best imo. You can get any broth that you acutally like, and it tastes better and is more cost effective than getting any of these pre-made protein bariatric soups.

Syntrax nectars are the consistency of water, and they come in all kinds of flavors. Cappucino, and the tropical cooler were some of my favs post-op. The iced tea flavor kind of sucks, the lemonade is good. You can order sample packs, try them and decide what you like.
