Low defenses?

Hemlo, im 6 weeks post op, and since last week i started having some health problems i got a throat infection they gave me meds and i healed just fine but on the last day of treatment i got diarrhea this was 3 days ago, and today when im getting better of that the throat infection is back again. Anyone experienced something similar?

Probiotics can help with diarrhea caused by antibiotics.

it's not the surgery. everyone gets sick. bariatric patients included.

I've had that exact problem before, but not after surgery. for a few years in my 30s I was very susceptible to step throat. the antibiotics would give me diarrhea and then I'd get the infection again. It took some concerted intervention on my doctors part to find an antibiotic and dosage that worked. and yes, the probiotics can help a lot. It's not caused by the surgery, but surgery and recovering from surgery can lower your immunity and make you more susceptible to infections. Stay away from sick people!
