What should I expect the day of surgery? Like about how long did it take for yours? Is it terrible pain afterwards or just mild because I read some people dont even need pain medicine but then I watched shows and they look like they're in ALOT of pain

I had to arrive 2 hours ahead of time and it flew by. I woke up 2 hours later with no pain, only mild discomfort. I helped myself switch hospital beds and was getting up by myself to walk and pee. It wasn't graceful, but as long as I went slow, I was OK. I would rate my worst surgical pain a 2. Gas pain a 5, and IV medication burning a 7. Totally tolerable!
