Pre-surgical testing?

What do they do at presurgical testing they told me I have to be there for an hour and a half? I thought they take blood and that's it. Only had one other procedure done and had blood work only.

They will hook you up to the IV take all your vitals and someone from anesthesia will come and talk to you ,take some blood and give you little relax juice☺ .then from there they'll roll you to the back & give u the real good sleepy juice & then you'll wake up in recovery
