Hello all,
I had my sleeve done on 08/09/2017 (so almost 2 weeks ago), and I can't have anything other than water. In hospital I was able to drink soup, milk, juice and protein drinks fine (I didn't come close to finishing any of them but I could stomach them). My hospital stay was extended to 5 nights instead of 2 because I got the flu post op. I was able to go home on Monday today is now Saturday and i've had nothing but water, since being home everything makes me feel sick, no matter how tiny sips I take. Today I have been forcing myself to drink an optifast protein shake but even a 5ml sip of it makes me feel queasy.
I see my Surgeon in 2 days for my 2 week post op follow up, but I am just curious to how I could stomach it all fine in hospital but now I'm home anything thats not water makes me sick :/
I am quite concerned that I have only had water for almost 1 week as i'm sure this will lead to deficiency and muscle loss rather than fat lot.
Did this happen to anyone else?
Thanks
Chiara
