I had my surgery 8 months ago.. every once in a while I have severe stomach ache. For about 45 min to an hour.. It feels like someone is squeezing my stomach. I think it's gas but I don't know.. anyone experience this? If you have what do you do? It's terrible..

I guess I'm the only one:(

I've had it happen a time or two as well and I'm 9 months post op. VSG 11/21/16. From what I can tell it's just gas. Doesn't happen very often though. And hasn't in a long time.

For me I'm fine one minute and then I feels like my stomach is swollen. Then it feel like intense pressure in my stomach and back. Sorry if this is tmi but if I make myself vomit sometimes it goes away. My guess is gas or over eating.. thx for the help guys!!

I think it's gas because I can feel like that and not even eat.im feeling good but I can't get the Water or the Protein requirement in yet. I'm barely drinking 30 oz of water and about 30 in protein

You will trust me !! Walk as much as you can it helps with EVERYTHING!! I had my surgery 8 months ago. It was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I still struggle sometimes but I've never regretted my decision. Not for a second.. good luck. If you ever have any questions feel free to ask:) good luck!!

Try walking after you eat. Doesn't have to be a lot, but a few laps around the room. I used to get something like this, and I found that a little bit of walking loosened everything up and made it settle!

Granted I'm only a couple months out but I get this a lot. I know it's gas because after I have to go to the restroom. After I relieve myself I feel so much better.

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
