Well after 7 years, I got my band removed. At first everything was fine! Lost over 80 lbs, got myself to the gym regularly. As soon as the band was "overfilled" that was the beginning of the end. For about 5 years, I was getting it filled, then unfilled. I could barely keep any food down. Eventually I had enough fluid removed so that I could finally eat, and then the weight started to creep back up. I got the band removed and am relieved. But.....
Is it naive of me to think I can NOW lose weight, now that the band has been removed? I'm in the process of getting approved for a revision to the sleeve, but a part of me doesn't want ANY type of weight loss surgery. Can weight loss be achieved, now that there's no restriction? Has it been done? I keep going back & forth with this.
