Hello. My surgery date was the 14th as well. I seem to be having the same problems as you. But noticed with walking it seems to relax some.

I was August 10th, and had the same thing. You need to walk as much as you can. I was better by day 4ish. Hot shower helped also. I'm one week post op today, and feeling really good. Hang in there!

Anyone have the same surgery date as me? Wondering how everyone is doing so far. I'm battling gas bubbles in stomach and burps/hiccups that kill. First 2 days postop were the absolute worse for me.

I'm starting to feel so weak.. it's day 5 postop...still on clear liquids...waiting for an okay from the doc to proceed with full liquids so I can get some protein in.

See if you can have protein water. Either plain powder mixed into something, or a ready to drink version. How about bone broth? It has a lot of protein, and is sold with the soup in Walmart. Hope you perk up soon!

Hey! I'm August 14 also! Lots of gurgling sounds and little burps. I think little burps have also been my indicator that I'm full. This morning I've actually woken up feeling quite 'OK' in comparison to the last 5 days. My incision patches are starting to peel off (not sure what to do about that). Incredible shoulder tip pain still. I'm going to try a 15 min walk today to test my energy levels. Really keen to see how others are traveling ... I've felt really emotional the last 2 days..anyone else?

August 14th as well incision still painful but feeling better never had surgery before so through my body into shock spent 4 days in the hospital but glad I did trying to get liquids in and some protien doing fair I guess!

I was able to start full liquids today if I felt ok but that didn't quite happen but I did get 1 protein drink in. We will feel better soon!!!!

I had my surgery on August 15th. Passing gas, hiccups twice. Some burps hurt!

I'm with ya sister!!! The burps are like bringing up bricks of air!
