It gets substantially easier after surgery...at least it was that way for me. Prior to the sleeve, my hunger was insatiable. Nothing provided satiety or fullness. Upon awakening from surgery, I w

I hope this is true. I'm sick of people judging me because I'm hungry all the time. I actually get very sick when I'm hungry to the point of gaging and it causes me to start sneezing. It basically fee

Good luck, there is a smart quote from a song that says "The race is long, and in the end it's only with yourself". If you care about making this happen, learn to forgive yourself and keep striving.

I saw my doctor 4 weeks ago for the first time and 2 weeks later started my preop diet (self funded). My visit was only about 15mins long. I didn't have to see a psych or have any tests other than a blood test. My dietitian was over the phone for about 15mins. I feel like I've been thrown into the deep end and haven't had time to mentally prepare. I wish I'd started my preop diet earlier or had more time to wrap my head around not being able to eat the way I have all my life. I know it's bad but I've slipped up a few times. Nothing terrible, just things like a sandwich instead of a shake. I don't really understand why I did it... But now I'm worried I won't have lost enough. Ive been good the last week but nervous because surgery is in less than 48 hours. What are the amounts people lost on their 2 weeks preop? My BMI is 40.
Also, I'm seeing a psychiatrist now and will be discussing my overeating problems, so please don't lecture or say I'm not serious about surgery because I am.
