If you gain weight from stopping diuretics itll be water not fat. You want to lose fat, not water. Should not be a problem, take your blood pressure medicine as long as you need it

I'm scheduled for surgery on August 24th and I've been taking diuretics for years. I know they don't like for you to take them after surgery but I'm afraid I'll gain weight, especially in the first couple weeks without them. Has anyone else had any experience with this? Did you continue taking them but just cut down after surgery?
