Surgery date is August 10.

I'm very nervous about everything I'm self paying my Dr is Mark Pleatman MD in Bloomfield MI. Any tips to help with the nerves. I'm 6'5" and 320lbs. 5 bulged disk and 3 herniated had neck and back surgery. Also osteoarthritis in lumbar area.

My surgery is 8/10 as well. I've found that reading through this site about all of the individual experiences has helped keep me calm. Having insight from those post-op really helps to know what to basically expect so you are not going in "blind".

Not gonna lie though, I'm expecting my anxiety to be off the charts this Monday-Wednesday. I also don't expect to sleep very well Wednesday night. ? I will be really busy with work though so that should help.

I guess my advice is to prepare yourself with knowledge and keep your mind busy with other stuff. Good luck!
