Thrush

So my wife who is a RN just pointed out that I probably have thrush. Which is a yeast imbalance in my mouth. Likely from antibiotics. My tongue has this white film on it and my teeth feel fuzzy regardless how much I brush and use mouth wash.

Anyone else experience this?

  • Sure did. I took lots of yogurt and probiotics, and it cleared up on its own by 6 or 8 weeks postop.

I had this happen a couple of weeks after surgery (exactly as you are describing). It looked and felt pretty gross! I was able to get a prescription for an oral anti-fungal medication and it cleared

I had a similar issue - a killer skin rash that was yeast. It was caused by taking the antibiotics.

I went to the DR and he said mine was likely nothing but gave me meds just in case.. So 1 week of swishing some other gross thing and I'll be good to go again.
