Just had surgery Sept. 28th and so far have lost 22lbs.

I am having mine done in Mexico on October 25. Very nervous and excited. What doctor did you have? Any advice for someone about to take the plunge?

I had Dr Kuri do it and I wouldn't change it for the world. He is in Tijuana. Hospital is really nice. Do take with you shampoo and conditioner if you use it. Who are you going with? The surgery is really not painful. Don't forget a pillow it you are flying after surgery. I have lost 15 and 1/2 lbs so far.

Thanks for the advice!! I'm going to doctor Aceves in the Hospital Angeles. I'm going with my friend Lori who is also getting banded and my sister who is going to be the support person for both of us. My sister is actually sponsoring my whole surgery--isn't that incredible?! Weight-related health problems run in our family and she wants me to live longer. I don't know what I'll ever do to repay her!!

How long did you wait to go back to work? I am getting surgery on Thursday and have to work Monday. Am a little nervous because I'm not telling anyone but my support people and my husband about it. Did you let everyone know what you were doing?

Your success so far is inspiring. What is the hardest part?

We were at the same hospital just different doctors. I work from home but as long as you don't have any trouble you should be able to work on monday. Only my family knew. My sister and I had it done at the same time. We were not told about the pre op diet. Dr Kuri said that I should have been on one before the surgery so I have lost 15 since the surgery.
