My pain levels were a little up there the day of surgery and after. Then as the days passed it went down. First day, on a scale of 1-10, I was a 9... after I left the hospital, it was a 7. A week later, it was a 4. Now I'm off pain meds. After week 2, I wasn't in much pain. As long as they give you something that works for you, the pain should be tolerable.

I just had surgery 2 days ago, RNY. I had pain but it was totally managed by pain meds they gave me. It was more pressure than pain. I never had pain reach 8 or 9. Usually I was about a 5-6. I was surprised that I didn't have more pain. Today, I even walked 9500 steps!

Pain was no big deal for me! Thankful to say.
