Water intake!

I had the sleeve done 4 days ago and surprisingly I can go all day sipping water and my stomach agrees just fine. But I'm still constantly thirsty!! It's not just like a lil thirst it's like a "been walking in the desert for 24 hours and haven't found any water yet" thirst. Does anyone know what I can do?

  • Just keep sipping, just keep sipping I'm 15 days and able to take pretty hefty sips. You'll get there too, promise! Did you try sugar free popsicles too? Are you drinking broth that has salt

I tried sugar free popsicles and it seems that they give me dumping syndrome directly after. It's pretty weird. My broth does taste pretty salty but I assumed it's my new taste buds.

Keep sipping. I felt dehydrated the day after I came home. I just kept sipping, even as far as setting my timer on my phone just to make sure I got the fluids, caught up, and didn't have to go back to

Did you try sugar free popsicles too? Are you drinking broth that has salt in it? I was really thirsty after but figured it was because I went from being hooked up to an IV for 1.5 days to not.

Keep sipping. I felt dehydrated the day after I came home. I just kept sipping, even as far as setting my timer on my phone just to make sure I got the fluids, caught up, and didn't have to go back to the hospital. I was super nervous Bc I vomited for more than 36 hours postop, at least once an hour. Horrible!! Good luck!

I started sipping but found I could take a larger amount. Being at work is very hard to keep drinking. At 6 months still at about 32 oz daily. If I run, then I can drink more. It all depends on the day ,and If my stomach will want plain water or not. Some times I will take a couple of drinks and my stomach gets all knotty. I then try to get some propel water or a bai drink.
