They usually check for leaks before you leave and from what I've read they're not all that common when dealing with a qualified surgeon. My surgeon hasn't had one leak. The leaks freaked me out too. It's truly a huge leap of faith doing this surgery. The statistics are on your side though. I was scared I was going to die on the table. Idk why. I've had surgeries and tolerated them well. I was so scared. Here I sit sucking a shake six days later happy as can be. If you trust your surgeon then let it all go and think of all the good that will come your way after.

I've done very well with all my surgeries as well, I guess I'm just getting nervous I can't believe it's only 2 days away so I have all these things running through my mind.. im glad your doing well that makes me happy!

You'll do well too! It's incredibly exciting. The anxiety sucks before hand but the relief is huge afterwards. I can't wait to hear back from you after your surgery!

The first night was the hardest with the Horrible gas pain pushing on my sternum but it is gone today and everything went perfect praise be to god! I'm taking my water, protein shakes, crystal light all just fine no problems! Haven't even taken my pain medicine!
