I know I know, this topic is beating a dead horse but it's my first post here and everything for BCBSM that I could find was almost 10 years old! I have BCBSM and have my last of my consecutive appts next week. My paperwork will then be submitted to my insurance company. What is everyones experience with the approval process for BCBS of Michigan? My surgeons office told me they only have 15 days to consider it but I'm hoping for (but not relying on) a much quicker response! Thanks everyone! It's great to be part of the group!

I have BCBS of PA and it took 1 day for approval but they had up to 15 days to decide.

look at the back of ur insurance card and go to their website a look for the medical policy and type in gastric sleeve and you should see the requirements there.

I have empire BCBS and was approved right away. My dr office submitted on a Tuesday and when I called Friday I had already been approved and a letter sent [emoji1303]
