And the wait begins

I have finished all my pre-op requirements and now begin the insurance approval waiting game. I hope it doesn't take too long. I am hoping for surgery date at end of June.

My approval took less than 24 business hours. Even though that's rather unheard of, my PA said that she usually gets a decision in 5 business days. My state allows 2 weeks for the insurance company to make a decision though.

You can call your insurance and ask or go online to the chat option if they offer it. I couldn't wait for the "official" word. Mine was approved in one day. BCBS COVA (it's the insurance for state employees in VA)
