Consult- Dr recommended bypass

Went to my consultation today. Dr said he would do whatever surgery I decided on, but he did recommend bypass surgery. I had first been interested in the sleeve....now I'm doing more research....anyone else been told this?

I was told the same by my dr, however, he explained that sometimes you will get acid reflux sometimes requiring a revision to bypass. One surgery is enough for me so I went with bypass.

He told me about acid reflux and I was surprised at the amount of people that had a leak with the sleeve....he also mentioned the fact that bypass surgery had been around a lot longer.

I haven't had one problem with my bypass. I had it November 2016 and I'm 36 pounds away from losing 100 pounds. It's one of the best decisions I have ever made, wish I wouldn't have had a few years ago.
