Excessive Burping

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I've had a lap band for about 8 years and have never had an issue with it. Over the past month I am burping all of the time, no acid just burping. It doesn't seem to matter if I've eaten or not.

I went to the doc last week and had an upper GI done and he said the band hasn't slipped and there is no hernia. He's not really sure what the issue is right now. Next step is a endoscopy.

I was just wondering if anyone has ever had similar symptoms and if they found out what the cause was?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm almost 5 years out and I notice it mainly after eating. But YES it's excessive. I've not had any testing but I have other issues currently.
