First 7 days post op with surgery complications.

So I had the gastric sleeve surgery on May 3rd. It took twice as long because my stomach and liver had grown together. I had a ruptured gall bladder 3 years ago and the surgery was botched so I have scar tissue. Because of the length of the surgery a lot of air was introduced into my abdomen causing me all kinds of nausea and gas/bloating issues. Here I am 3 days post op and barely able to get in any protein. I am trying to drink at least a bottle of water but it all makes me nauseous. Is it ok to not meet the protein goals during this period?

Try to get as much protein as possible. If you are unsure, put in a call to your team's office.

You are still VERY new after surgery. It is hard to get all your protein and liquids in right away. It took me week or two to be able to get in the recommended daily goal.
