Hunger pains

Having gastric sleeve in 6 days. This is my 2nd day of liquid protein diet. Any suggestions on dealing with hunger pains? My husband was eating a chicken leg last night and I thought about snatching it out of his hand.

What got me through that stage was knowing the dr might send me home without the surgery if I didn't follow his instructions to the T. I'm shocked your on liquid protein already with 6 days to go. I was only on liquid for 2 days before surgery. Anyway I just drank and sucked on icicles to get me through.

Every Dr is different. Understanding why you have to be on liquids helps to cope, I think. You will tolerate surgery better by purging the poisonous foods we all ate pre op. You fatty liver will heal, lipids in your blood will flush, you will lose some weight. All these things will make surgery and recovery easier for you. Hang in there. It is hard. After surgery it is also hard but in a very different way.
