Emergen-C / Alka Seltzer ok to drink?

Are things of this nature (fizzy) ok to drink or is that in the same vein as carbonated drinks?

During the winter I usually drink an Emergen-C every morning.

    I don't see why it would be any different than soda-perhaps even a bit more fizzy-I would not chance it.
