ccollins511,

If your like me you'll come home really excited/scared. After I went the the introduction siminar I had my surgery 3 weeks later, I was self-pay so no insurance approvals. I've been so pleased with my band and my weight loss so far.

Good Luck to you!! Keep us posted.

I'm very excited. I have my seminar on Tuesday (10/2). I've spoken to a few people in the past few days who love the surgeon I'm thinking about going to. Once I get the paperwork in, it's going to be a six-month process...that I'm not looking forward to, but I am looking forward to the end result.

Hi ccollins511,

I'm from Australia, but like you I am just begining my journey. The process of getting insurance coverage is different here, but we still all suffer the same fears and excitement.

If you're like me you are feeling both at the moment. Exciting because at last there is a light at the end of the weight loss tunnel and when I get to the other end there will be a thinner and healthier version of me. :biggrin1:

Scared because surgery is a big BIG step to take and because I worry that I will not be a success - after all, the other attempts failed. :cry

But then I shake myself :angry and just remember that there are probably thousands of others out there who have gone through this before me and I know that I will succeed - maybe not as fast as some BUT I WILL GET THERE!

:whoo:
