I'm in the pre-op testing for clearance.

I know I've probably got a couple of months before I get a surgery date. Can't wait! I'm 67 as per usual I wait a long time to take steps to take care of myself. My being overweight has ruled my life. It's time I tell it no more!!!

My son had vsg 2 years ago. He did well since he did everything he was told. Don't rush, hydrate, rest, follow food plan as prescribed. A few cheats but got right back on his regime.

I'm proud of you! I am 61 and will be 62 when my surgery is done. Looking at last week of March or first week of April. I've done every diet out there. I had the most success with Atkins (high protein low carb). Since I did it, I have not been able to lose on it since. That's what concerns me most about post surgery eating; high protein and low carb. What if I go through this and then don't lose after about first month post op. One month has been my stopping point since my one single success with it. Anyone else have this problem?
