  1. I'm proud of you! I am 61 and will be 62 when my surgery is done. Looking at last week of March or first week of April. I've done every diet out there. I had the most success with Atkins (high protein low carb). Since I did it, I have not been able to lose on it since. That's what concerns me most about post surgery eating; high protein and low carb. What if I go through this and then don't lose after about first month post op. One month has been my stopping point since my one single success with it. Anyone else have this problem?

  5. I have to be seen by the heart doctor and have two more nutritionist visits. Surgeon told me yesterday he would try to do surgery the last week of March. I had to pay 20% for psychological evaluation but that's the only time money has been brought up. Yikes! I'm getting a little nervous about what my out of pocket expenses will be also. 6. I had my EGD yesterday, also. It wasn't bad at all. They call it sedating you but you go to sleep and wake up and it's over. I remember talking to the nurse and when I woke up, the doctor had been in and done the procedure and I didn't even know it. Lol Sent from my QTAIR7 using the BariatricPal App

  9. I am 61 and will be 62 in March. I am in the process of tests and nutrition visits now. They are giving me an estimated date of early April if I'm approved and all goes well. I have been worried about my age since everyone seems so young on the boards. This post has made me feel a lot better. All these tests are trying. Sent from my QTAIR7 using the BariatricPal App
  10. Thank you for your post vickiebc! I just found this group today. I am 61 and have been to the seminar, the consultation and have my first meeting with nutritionist tomorrow.
